Next Steps - Elementary Age Parent Education
Raising school-age children can be awesome. Watching them try new activities, cheering them on at athletic events and applauding their accomplishments at recitals are usually some of the high points for most parents. However, achieving success is often preceded by frustration and sometimes learning to accept one’s weaknesses as well as celebrating and building on strengths along the path of parenting.

This course offers an opportunity for parents of elementary age children who would like to enhance their parenting skills while participating in group discussions and learning parenting strategies through the guidance of a parent educator.

Parent Discussions will last for 1.5 hours. Discussions will center around topics such as Friendship & Belonging, Bullying, Independence, Organization & Responsibility.

Child care will not be offered due to Covid-19 safety measures, unless the child is a young infant and needs to be with the caregiver.
