Online Safety for Grade Schoolers and Parents - Virtual Class
Led by Youth Program Educators from A.C.T. United for elementary students and their parent(s) or caregiver(s). An engaging interactive class to give kids the tools they need to stay safe while e-learning, gaming, and enjoying online activities. Topics include personal info sharing, photo sharing, online conversations, and identifying online friends or foes. Access to our colorful S-A-F-E-T-Y tips poster for print provided. Together we will strengthen our parent - child online safety awareness and conversations.
Session includes: child conversation on an important topic; Age appropriate, fun, and interactive resources for kids and families; Building skills for avoiding harm and making healthy, safe decisions.
Instructor: Jessica is an engaging, motivational speaker to both youth and professional audiences. She is the author and lead presenter of YOUTH AWARE: Teen Exploitation Prevention and the Online SA-F-E-T-Y for Kids programs reaching thousands of students annually. She also provides professional CEU’s and community education classes to connect and engage everyone in creating safe environments for youth. With 25 years of experience in youth outreach, youth ministry, and 12 years in law enforcement, Jessica brings first-hand experience and knowledge to the issues of youth online and personal safety.
