#110: 5th & 6th Grade Tackle Football

Each player receives a team jersey to keep. Volunteer coaches needed: 2-3 per team. Coaches will also need to be present at the player review and draft. The player review is a practice in which the coaches evaluate the player to divide the teams up equally. Parents are responsible for providing their participant with a helmet (most participants have white but other colors are fine), shoulder pads, cleats and mouth guard. WAA is providing black football pants for rental but other colors are fine to wear. All participants should plan to come to the Community Education office on Wednesday, June 21 any time 7:30am-7pm for participant weigh-in’s and pants try on. If you cannot stop in on June 21 please come in during regular office hours by June 22. Please contact Derek Veldhuisen dveldhuisen@isd110.org with questions. A participant can only weigh in 1 time. Sorry, we cannot offer a refund after the player review.

Ages: Going into Grades 5 & 6 in the Fall of 2023

Weigh in/Pants/Jersey: Extended office hours on Wednesday, June 21 from 7:30am-7pm to stop in and try on

Player Review: Monday August 7th, 2023 7pm to 8:30pm

Practices: August 17, 22, 24, 29, 31 September 5, 7, 12, 14, 19, 21, 26, 28, October 3, 5, 10 & 12

Game Dates: Saturdays, August 26, September (skip 2), 9, (skip 16), 23, 30 October 7 & 14. Rainouts could extend the season.

Photo Day: TBD

Game Time: Mornings/early afternoon, pending on the # of teams

Sites: Waconia, Jordan, Belle Plaine, Norwood Young America & possible other towns.

League Fee: (Must have a jersey to participate)

Option A: $120 My child will use their jersey from last year.

Option B: $180 Purchasing a new jersey for this year.

Football Pant Rental:

If you would like to rent football pants from us there will be a $30 charge on August 23. You will receive a $15 refund if the football pants are returned to the Community Education Office by October 27th.
