#800: 8th Grade Girls Volleyball
Volunteer coaches needed: 1-2 per team. Coaches will also need to be present at the player review and draft. The player review is a practice in which the coaches evaluate the players to divide the teams up equally. Registration opens on Monday, July 20. The registration deadline is Monday, August 17. ($10 late fee if space allows.) We cannot offer a refund/credit/transfer after August 18th.

Ages: Girls going into Grades 7th & 8th in the Fall of 2020.
Begins: Player review is Tuesday, August 18 at 7:30pm - 8:30pm at Waconia Middle School Gym. Wear a mask when you enter and exit the building, however, participants can remove the mask for play. Only the participants & coaches should enter the building.
Days of Play: Saturdays, September 12, 19, 26, October 3, 10, (skip 17), 24 & 31
Practices: Tuesdays & Thursdays, begins September 1 - Practices will be after 5:30pm and could go until 9pm.
Saturday Game Locations: All games will be IN-HOUSE at Waconia Schools due to the fact that school volleyball has been cancelled because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Practice Sites: Waconia Schools TBD
Fee & League T-shirt: $90
Tournament: Potential year end in-house tournament on the last date if we have enough teams/interest, TBD.
Register by: August 17 / Late Fee: $10 (If space allows)
Coaches Meeting: Tuesday, August 18 player review (coaches evaluate) at 7:30pm-8:30pm. Meeting to follow @ 8:30pm in the Waconia Middle School Cafeteria.
Volleyball Shorts: Please purchase solid black spandex volleyball shorts to complete your game day uniform.
A few other things you can expect this season include:
> Reduced fans/spectators allowed in our District #110 gyms for both practices and games.
> We may consider a live stream / facebook stream so families and fans can watch Saturday games digitally.
> We may or may not be able to host an in-house tournament on the last play date. TBD.
> Officiating/line judging may be assigned differently than previously experienced.
> If programming numbers are small, 7th & 8th grade could be combined.
