Waconia High School Girls Volleyball Summer Training Sessions:

These training sessions are to prepare incoming high school players for our Fall 2023 season. Please sign up for the level that you think is the most appropriate for you. The selection of sessions is up to your discretion as a player. Your selection has no impact on coaches’ decisions regarding team-placement in the fall. Questions? Intermediate Skills/Setting Sessions: 9th-12th Grade (2023-2024)

Please select these sessions if you believe you will be competing to play on our 9th grade or B/10th Grade level teams in the fall. If you sign up for these sessions, we will work on playing at a more advanced level in terms of: understanding rotations and using strategy well within each rotation, communicating well with teammates in order to play at a faster level, moving efficiently between offense and defensive play, consistent/competitive serving and serve receive, and connecting offensively between setters and hitters in order to run an efficient offense. **Setters are encouraged to sign up for the separate “Setting Sessions” prior to their general skills session.

S-413: Intermediate Setting M/W - July 17, 19, 24 & 26

5:00pm-5:30pm Fee: $15 Min: 3 / Max: 20

Advanced Skills/Setting Sessions: 9th-12th Grade (2023-2024)

Please select these sessions if you believe you will be competing to play on our JV or Varsity level teams in the fall. In order to sign up for this session, you should understand rotations completely (at least for your own position, if not for all positions on the court) , and you should be able to play at a fast pace (offensively, defensively, and in transition between the two.) You should also have strong communication skills so that you can play with a variety of people at a high level.
